AND A FEW DISHES FEATURING THE GREAT SEAFOOD SELECTION THAT CAUGHT HER EYE COULD THE SEAFOOD POP BY HAS LOBSTER, SHRIMP AND FISH TOPPED WITH PUFF PASTRY. THERE ARE RAW FISH OPTIONS IN THE SUSHI TACOS AND THE SALMON POKEBALL. >> I TALK ABOUT RESTAURANTS BUT ALSO OUTDOORS. THERE IS SHOPPING. THERE IS CULTURE. THERE ARE MUSEUMS. >> HER RECOMMENDATIONS INCLUDE THE SANDWICH GLASS MUSEUM, THE EDWARD GOREY HOUSE IN YARMOUTH, A HOME TURNED MUSEUM DEDICATED TO THE LATE ARTIST AND A RED CAR COLLECTION HOUSED AT TOAD HALL IN HYANNIS PORT. IN SANDWICH, SHE SAID THE CAPE COD VISITOR CENTER IS WORTH YOUR TIME. >> THERE IS A FABULOUS MUSEUM YOU CAN LEARN A LOT ABOUT THE HISTORY. IT IS FUN WHEN YOU ARE EXPLORING A NEW PLACE. YOU CAN GO BIKING. I SAW SOMEONE FISHING EARLIER. THERE IS A STORYBOOK WALK. I WROTE THIS IN THE PANDEMIC SO I WANTED TO INCLUDE A LOT OF PLACES YOU COULD ENJOY WHETHER THE INSIDE WAS OPEN OR NOT. >> I GREW UP GOING TOUCH FOR OUR EVERY SUMMER AND I WOULD OFTEN DRIVE BY ALL THESE OTHER TOWNS. I THINK A LOT OF PEOPLE DO THAT. >> WHAT I LOVED ABOUT THIS BOOK AS IT MADE ME EXPLORE MORE OF MY BACKYARD AND DISCOVER NEW PLACES. >> SHE SAYS IT WAS HARD TO LIMIT HER PECKS TO JUST 100 SHOULD SHE SHARED A BONUS SPOT IN SANDWICH. A FAMILY-OWNED MINI GOLF COURSE. MARISE, BETTER KNOWN AS MOE AND SYLVIA BURKE ARE THE ARCHITECTS. BUILDING THE PARK WAS A PASSION PROJECT FOR MOE AS A TEENAGER IN THE 50’S. >> I PLAYED SOME COURSES AND I THOUGHT I CAN DO BETTER THAN THAT. >> HE SAID TO WORK FILLING IN SWAMPLAND AND CREATING THE MINIATURE COURSE HOLE BY HOLE. >> WHEN WE OPENED, WE ONLY HAD NINE HOLES AND WE ADVERTISED 18 AND PEOPLE WOULD SAY WHERE THE OTHER NINE AND WE WOULD SAY, YOU PLAY THESE TWICE. >> SHE WAS VERY EMBARRASSED AT FIRST WITH MY DREAM. >> BUT IT WORKED. >> IT EVENTUALLY REACHED 36 HOLES FILLED OUT OVER THE YEARS WHEN THEY RETURNED EACH SUMMER TO SANDWICH FROM THEIR WORK AS MISSIONARIES AND TEACHERS ALL OVER THE WORLD. NOW THEIR SON MANAGES THE COURSE WITH HIS FAMILY. >> I WATCH MY LITTLE GRANDDAUGHTER. SHE IS ONLY SIX AND SHE COMES AND SHE LOVES TO VISIT WITH THE CUSTOMERS. WE WANT TO KEEP IT IN THE FAMILY. >> THEY CELEBRATED 65 YEARS OF MARRIAGE THIS SUMMER. I COULD NOT HELP BUT ASK WHO USUALLY WINS AT MINI GOLF. >> HE DOES. >> BUT SHE COULD BEAT US ANY TIME IF SHE PRACTICES. >> MOE AND SYLVIA BURKE ARE ALSO AUTHORS.
